Device Settings to Check for Roamless Data Connectivity
Make sure your Roamless eSIM is installed and activated on your device
(also see: How to locate your Roamless eSIM on your device)
Make sure your device's airplane mode is turned OFF
(Airplane mode prevents the Roamless eSIM from connecting to the network)
Make sure your Roamless eSIM is turned ON
Check your Roamless account balance (and top-up as needed)
(You need pay-as-you-go (FLEX) credits, or valid rewards, or a valid data plan for your current destination)
Check your Roamless eSIM settings
(Settings Guide - iOS 26 | Settings Guide - iOS 18 | Settings Guide - Android)
Check your network selection settings
(If you have enabled manual selection previously, go back to auto-selection)
Make sure you see at least 1-2 bars for your network signal
(If you have weak or no network signal, this could be the root-cause for your data not working. See if there's another Roamless network you can connect to)
Check your APN settings
(If APNs are empty or wrong, your eSIM will not have data connectivity)
Make sure to disable any VPN services on your device
(While rare, corporate VPNs especially may interfere with data connectivity)
If all the above settings are in place, but your data still does not work, please do the following steps in the order presented and test connectivity after each step.
Resetting Your Network Connection and Your Roamless eSIM
1. Turn ON Airplane Mode > Wait for 10 seconds > Turn OFF Airplane Mode
Turning airplane on/off drops and re-establishes your network connection
While it is very a simple method, it is effective in troubleshooting basic network-side issues and will often get you back online
2. Turn OFF Roamless eSIM > Wait for 10 seconds > Turn ON Roamless eSIM
The logic is similar to airplane mode on/off, but turning your eSIM off and back on is a more comprehensive method of resetting your network-side connectivity
So if airplane mode on/off step does not work, make sure to try this next
After you turn your eSIM back on, remember to select it for cellular data again. Device settings may have changed when you turn off your eSIM
3. Reset your APN Settings
APN settings are critical to how your device connects to the internet
If you have good network signal, but are not seeing 4G/LTE/5G on your network bar, this may indicate a problem with your APN settings
Resetting the APN settings is a simple but effective way to reset certain things on the network-side as well
4. Delete and Re-install your Roamless eSIM
Make sure you have a strong WiFi connection before you delete your eSIM
"Airplane mode on/off" and "turning your eSIM off/on" are good tricks to reset network-side connectivity
Deleting your eSIM from your device and re-installing it will not only reset network-side connectivity, it will also reset a few things on the device-side that may sometimes cause data connectivity problems
Deleting your Roamless eSIM has no impact on your credits, rewards or data plans. Your account balance is safe.
You can delete and re-install the Roamless eSIM as many times as you need
5. Reset Network Settings for Your Device
If none of the above steps work, as a last resort you can reset network settings for your device
Resetting network settings will delete saved Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings which is why it should only be used as a last resort when you are self-troubleshooting
