When you install your eSIM, your device's network selection is usually set to "automatic". However, if you have changed this setting previously, here's how to set it back.
Note: If you have left manual network selection active from your previous trip and now travel to a different country, your eSIM will not be able to automatically connect to a network in your new destination (as it will keep looking for and not finding signal from the operator of the previous country).
Auto-Network Selection iOS Devices:
Go to Device Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Network) > scroll down to SIMs
Click on Roamless eSIM > Network Selection > Turn ON "Auto Selection"
Auto-Network Selection on Android Devices:
The steps below may be slightly different based on device make and model.
Go to Device Settings > Connections (or Network & Internet) > Mobile Networks > Network Operators
Select the Roamless eSIM at the bottom > Turn ON "Select Automatically"
How Auto-Network Selection Works
With auto-network selection enabled, your eSIM will connect to one of the supported networks with the strongest signal
As long as there is even a single bar of network signal, the eSIM will stay connected to this network
If the signal drops to 0, the eSIM will start looking for other networks it can connect to
If Roamless has coverage on more than one operator, it will likely connect to the new network automatically, restoring your connectivity
As a reminder
In case you need to manually change your network, you can do so from your device settings (as long as Roamless has coverage on more than one network in your location)
Please see this article on where you can find the supported networks for your Roamless eSIM
