I can't connect to a network

When have your eSIM activated but you cannot connect to a network in your location

Updated this week

If you have your Roamless eSIM installed and have configured your device settings, but you cannot connect to a network in your location and see 0 (zero) signal bars on your device, please go through the below steps, in the order given and test your data connectivity after each step.

1. Check to make sure that Roamless offers coverage in your current country or region

  • Roamless works in 200+ countries and regions, however there are still a few places where we do not yet offer coverage

  • Please check the most up-to-date coverage list in the app or on the Roamless website to make sure you can use your eSIM in your current location

2. Check the network selection settings for your Roamless eSIM

  • If you have manually connected to network in a different country before, your device may be looking for that old network in your current location and failing to get a signal

  • Please enable 'auto-network selection' again so that your Roamless eSIM can find and connect to a valid network in your current location

3. Delete and re-install your Roamless eSIM

  • Having no signal is different from having signal but no data connectivity, and is often due coverage-related issues with the network operator. However, in certain cases, it could also be related to the eSIM failing to properly communicate with the network

  • To resolve these cases, you can try deleting and re-installing your Roamless eSIM and configuring your device settings like usual

4. You could be in a location where there is very weak or no network signal available

  • While we try to make sure we have expansive, reliable coverage in all 200+ Roamless destinations, in rare cases you could be in zones where there is no network signal available (due to the network operator's own coverage)

  • Roamless works on multiple operators in a lot of destinations, so you can check to see if you can manually connect to another Roamless network

5. The network operator itself may be having a temporary technical problem or an outage

  • While rare, technical problems on the operator-side may happen from time to time and you may not be able to get a signal from the operator

  • These are often short-lived and usually self-resolve after some time

  • Roamless works on multiple operators in a lot of destinations, so you can check to see if you can manually connect to another Roamless network

If you still cannot get network signal on your device, please inform the Support Team so that we can assist you in person.
