You can transfer your Roamless eSIM to a new device without losing your credits, data plans or rewards. Unlike typical travel eSIMs, Roamless eSIM does not have any limitations on device changes.
Please do not use "Transfer eSIM" option on iOS devices (under device settings) to move your Roamless eSIM. Instead, please manually delete it from your old device and re-install it on your new device.
How to transfer your Roamless eSIM to a new device
First, delete your Roamless eSIM from your current device
(See guide: How to delete the Roamless eSIM)
Then install the Roamless app on your new device and sign into your Roamless account
Go to Data tab > Install eSIM
Configure your device settings like usual to use your eSIM for data connectivity
Your account balance, rewards and active data plans also remain safe when you delete your eSIM, and will be ready for use as soon as you install it again.
What if I can't access my old device?
If you no longer have access to your old device, you will need to request a new Roamless eSIM to activate on your new device. Below is a step-by-step guide to help you through the process:
Request a New eSIM: Contact Roamless to have a new eSIM issued to your account. This is necessary as the existing eSIM cannot be removed or transferred from the old device.
Install the Roamless App: Download and install the Roamless app on your new device from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Sign In to Your Account: Open the app and sign in using your existing Roamless account credentials.
Activate the New eSIM:
Navigate to the Data tab in the Roamless app.
Select Install eSIM and then choose Activate Now.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the activation process.
Configure Your Device Settings: Once the eSIM is activated, configure your device’s cellular settings as prompted to start using your Roamless service.
Troubleshooting Tips
If you encounter any issues during activation, restart your device and try again.
Ensure the Roamless app is updated to the latest version.
