Technical error during eSIM activation

When you get a "technical error" on your Android device during eSIM installation

Updated this week

This is an error that only occurs on Android devices, in rare cases when the device fails to successfully download the Roamless eSIM

Potential Solution

  1. If you see the Roamless eSIM under SIM Manager, please click into it and see if you can delete it

  2. Check your connectivity and if possible change your WiFi connection (or hotspot to a different device)

  3. Make sure any VPN services are disabled on your device

  4. Try to install the Roamless eSIM again

If you do not see the Roamless eSIM under SIM Manager, and you try again, you may get a "This code has expired / This code is already used" error, indicating that the eSIM was downloaded but is stuck in an error state and is not usable.
