You can keep your regular phone number when you install the Roamless eSIM on your device. Your phone number is linked to your regular SIM card.
The Roamless eSIM is data-only. It does not have a designated phone number, or call or SMS capabilities. It works independently of your regular SIM card and phone number
You can think of the Roamless eSIM as your personal, on-demand mobile data source for when you travel (or when you're at home -if you need it)
Your regular phone number will not be impacted by your Roamless eSIM
Please do not manually enter or apply any phone number to your Roamless eSIM on your device settings, as this will cause issues with the eSIM and more importantly will cause the phone number you manually enter to be unusable.
Do not convert your regular, physical SIM to an eSIM by mistake. On your device, there is an option (if your regular provider supports it) to convert your physical SIM card to an eSIM by going through certain steps on the settings screens. This process has nothing to do with setting up your Roamless eSIM.
We very strongly recommend that you do not do this, especially if you are traveling abroad, as this conversion process is irreversible and you will need to contact your regular provider to get another physical SIM card.
